Commerce Wing

  

The Commerce Wing is at the forefront of work on the implementation of national policies for export promotion, and technology transfer. In addition to promoting interest in the goods and services already being imported from Bangladesh, the Commerce Wing is constantly looking for niche market opportunities and initiate prompt action to enable Bangladesh take advantage of them.

The primary responsibilities of the Commerce Wing are to identify prospective buyers in USA for Bangladeshi goods, ensure timely collection and dissemination of information on sources of supply in Bangladesh to potential buyers in USA, identify and assist in the removal of any market access problems, and collect information and analyze comparative advantages and competitiveness of Bangladeshi products vis-a-vis competing products from other sources, organize participation in international trade fairs for promotion of Bangladeshi goods, organize seminars or symposiums with a view to enhance market access for Bangladeshi goods and services, extend all possible assistance to trade mission and commercial visitors from Bangladesh, assist overseas commercial visitors and trade missions planning visit to Bangladesh.
